titmouse inc. studio...

Over the weekend, I went to Titmouse studio to assist a kimono coordinator prepare for a photo shoot. The project is still in production, so I can't post those pictures, but the atmosphere of the studio was so fun.
There were books, toys, and games everywhere. Seeing their huge computer lab and animation studio was impressive and intimidating. Everyone was so nice and accommodating.

at designer con...

i've been bugging my sister for her pictures from designer con because i knew she took amazing pictures. now i have them, and i don't know what to post because i want to post them all. thanks for the pictures sharon!alright, so i made it to designer con, after finding out about it on the vinyl pulse blog two days earlier, with my sister and my boyfriend. i was ecstatic the entire time we were in the Pasadena Convention Center surrounded by toys and artists.
we ran into my friend Kevin Tong, who was there with his t-shirt and poster company Mondo. we bought an iphone skin of his isteam phone illustation...one of the main reasons i wanted to go to Dcon was to see the gold edition of Kid Dragon, but that became an after thought when i saw that Loyal Subjects had the original available at their booth. they are completely sold out online, so i bought what the guy said was one of their last 5 pieces!
JapanLA was there with series 3 of Plasticgod's Kitty icons!
we kept losing my sister. she was stalking the artists...
i got sketches from dez einswell of doodle barn, angry woebots, peekaboo monster, and buff monster. a lot of other artists were sitting in booths and wandering around, and i was pretty overwelhmed with it all. i was a very happy girl saturday.
ps. angry woebot's panda king is awesome.

omg, how did i not know about designercon before?
i think i'm hyperventilation just looking at the vendor list...
it's $5 admission...someone be available and come with me! hell, i'll buy your ticket in.

remember dragon boy by sam flores? it's gold, it's gold, it's gold! i dunno why that makes me so happy. vinyl pulse says "The figure will be released in conjunction with the December 4th (7-10 PM) opening of their Bastards and Hunk show featuring eight Colombian Graffiti artists and international guest Sam Flores" in Medellin, Colombia.

$125.00 plus shipping. hm, tempting.

it's not possible to see it all in one visit...this was our Hello Kitty high tea set; so much food. there were little HK rings on the cupcakes.
i tried my hand at the claw machine this time. no go, but still fun.
i can't get enough of the pop-up store either. let me know if you want me to find something for you next time i go. click on the store display image below to see Sanrio's anniversary items.
