These walls are covered up and gone now, but a few weeks ago a new friend took me to the buildings to explore.
I was ecstatic to see Yoskay Yamamoto's mural...
and Ekundayo's...
and Hush's
and Shark Toof's
and two Dabs and Myla's!

At Picking Up Where We Left Off...
I had a packed schedule last weekend, but I HAD to stop by opening night of Yoskay Yamamoto's solo show at LeBasse Projects "Picking Up Where We Left Off". So between helping out a friend and going out in Santa Monica, I stopped in Culver City. Midnight Blossom was my favorite piece at this show.

at Fashionable Aftertaste Without End...
First of all, I had to stop by Yoskay Yamamoto's closing reception for Familiar Strangers. The print release for the 'Four Seasons' series was Saturday night.

Natalia Fabia's show was fabulous, in every sense of the word. The paintings, the costumes, even the cake was gluttony for the eyes.
I am enamored with the details in "Balloon Party of Birthday."

"Gate of Girl of Yoga" was my favorite piece. All the paintings were oil on panel.
Images of the paintings are from Corey Helford Gallery.

Culver City this weekend...
I missed the Culver City artwalk this past weekend, but there are two shows coming up this weekend that I've had in my calendar for months...

at Deva Loka & Tell Me a Story...
i had a busy weekend filled with a baby shower and birthdays, but i managed to squeeze in the opening for Yoshitaka Amano's Deva Loka show and Yoskay Yamamoto's Tell Me A Story installation at LeBasse Projects...

Amano's pieces are huge, lacquered, and glittery!

I was just in awe standing in Yamamoto's intallation. His colorful Yoskayfied rain makes me happy.
