at inferno...
this was an entire series depicting aspects of hell...thanks to my friends that came out in the middle of the week; so much fun for a weeknight!
luke chueh is one of my best friend's favorite artists, and since she couldn't come, i say this night was dedicated to connie.

This September, Gallery 1988 is proud to present Luke Chueh's next solo show, "Inferno". Based on, and inspired by Dante Aligheri's infamous poem, "The Devine Comedy", for "Inferno", Chueh is illustrating Aligheri's 9 rings of hell and joining a rich legacy of artists whom have shared their vision of the epic tale such as Doré, Bottichelli, Dali, and Rauschenberg.

culver city art scene...

the Kim Light Gallery with a beautiful space showing Kim McCarty watercolors, and a sense of humor about possible homosexuals on the premises...


i thiink it was the Cherry and Martin gallery we saw an original Andy Warhol drawing...

our main attraction was Luke Chueh's solo show at the Corey Helford Gallery, From Light Cometh Darkness. we missed the opening the night before, but sometimes it's nice to be able to just look at the work without navigating a crowd...

guitar gero (above) amused me, but rabbitoise (below) was my favorite...
