Gallery 1988: Venice...

The inaugural show at Gallery 1988: Venice is opening this Saturday! Their San Francisco spot has closed and moved closer to me, haha. 'Multiplayer' combines art posters and video games.
I think I have to go just to buy Kevin Tong's 'My Tetris Heart Longs for Your Push' poster.

exhaustion...

I'm officially back from China, Orlando and Thanksgiving, and I'm exhausted. Sorry, I haven't been updating recently. I am quite uninspired at the moment. It would be nice to go to bed and never wake up.

my heart tree...

Alright, so I never really followed up on painting a series of my heart pieces. I had a mini art day with my boyfriend, and I painted my heart under a bonsai tree for him.
It's 3.5"x2". Just the size makes me smile.

Art for Hearts...

If only I could go to New York next week, I would hit up the Art Asylum Boston's one night benefit for the American Heart Association. This is Brent Nolasco's piece for the event Septemper 2nd. Also next week, Katie of Paperfashion will be working with Coach at Fashion’s Night Out in New York City September 10th. She'll be painting illustrations on limited edition totes!
People in New York, go appreciate the art please.

i brake everything...

i found this oil and charcoal painting by Antony Micallef on Arrested Motion. I'm almost in disbelief at how beautiful piece is. this is for a British Heart Foundation benefit called The Mending Broken Hearts Appeal (curated by CCA gallery).

my heart...

for christmas, my sister gave me a new moleskin sketchbook and twelve tubes of acrylic paint, almost all individually wrapped. my boyfriend gave me a little wooden mannequin and whole stack of blanks canvases, all different sizes. so obviously, my new year's resolution is to paint more!

i haven't planned anything for the bigger canvases yet. just for fun though, my boyfriend bought a pack of tiny 3.5" x 2" canvases and we had a mini art session...
after i painted my heart for him, i thought i might start a simple series of red, black, and white paintings.
