These tokidoki bicycle cards were released in September last year. I only just got myself a deck in a really round about way, but I got them!

The Art Angels: Buff Monster...

I said, "I want" and I got. Well, almost, they're in the mail. After Comic Con, Buff Monster announced that his clear playing cards would be released online at 10AM yesterday. At 10:01, I ordered them. Yes, I am clearly obsessed with playing cards.
Since he created my latest art purchase, Buff Monster is subject number four in my Art Angels series. The computers were completely down at work today. Its not perfect, but this is the result of my last two hours at work.

my beautiful, awesome, crafty friend tammy bought me a present just because it reminded her of me. it's an edger punch patterned with the playing card suites! if you're on my blog, look around, it's very obvious i'm infatuated.

i am so smitten with JAQK cellars and their signature playing cards. they're a newish wine company infused with the idea of "play a little." i saw and was fascinated by some of their graphic design work last year, then i panicked when i lost the link. when i found the link again, i immediately ordered two packs of playing cards, and sometime this year a friend is going to get one of their bottles of wine for their birthday.i said i was smitten, and i mean it right down to the little sticker label, the letterpress box and the metallic inks. alright, so normal people don't take twenty plus pictures of their playing cards, but these follow the company concept so well with beautiful graphic details. love.

i don't have an iphone, but i love playing cards. these cards look like an iphone! i should totally buy them for my collection, but then my boyfriend will yell at me. still, i covet.

if you know me, you know i LOVE playing cards. i collect way too many, but they're so versatile and the little stacks of paper have so much potential. i especially love the decks with different images on each card.
