culver city art scene...

saturday afternoon, a few friends and i went art gallery hopping in the art district of culver city. we stoped by the George Billis gallery, Blum & Poe, Walter Macial gallery, Taylor De Cordoba who was showing intricate Melissa Manfull works...

the Kim Light Gallery with a beautiful space showing Kim McCarty watercolors, and a sense of humor about possible homosexuals on the premises...

i thiink it was the Cherry and Martin gallery we saw an original Andy Warhol drawing...

our main attraction was Luke Chueh's solo show at the Corey Helford Gallery, From Light Cometh Darkness. we missed the opening the night before, but sometimes it's nice to be able to just look at the work without navigating a crowd...
guitar gero (above) amused me, but rabbitoise (below) was my favorite...
i never realized he painted on wood blocks. it was a great show; so glad we went.

  1. Looks like so much fun! I have yet to visit the galleries in the CC art district even though we live right by it!
