27...

I threw myself a birthday party, because, well, I love parties. I proceeded to book the VIP lounge at Royal/T since I was still smitten with the place after the Three Apples Hello Kitty art show was held there. Then I started thinking about party favors and how I could make it a little more 'me'.
Well, a self portrait. Honestly, I was a bit bored and the narcissism amused me. I made stickers to put on the favor boxes, and designed a little menu once that was settled, even a little sign for parking meter quarters. The favor boxes each had a blindbox Things That Hurt zipper pull from Kidrobot inside. It was a fabulous lunch party. The food was delicious, the toys were opened and traded. Thank you so much to Nina, the event coordinator at Royal/T, and to all my friends for coming and being so marvelous.

party favors...

I designed the packaging for some party favors recently.
I threw a banquet for my father's 60th birthday. I bought gold mini take out boxes from Michael's, and designed a badge with the chinese character for longevity on it. I tied it all together with thin red ribbon and placed little pineapple cakes in the boxes. Thanks to Tammy for the inspiration, and to my boyfriend for helping assemble them all.
On the same night actually, my cousinish threw a bridal shower for her best friend. She loved the lotus boxes I designed for Valentine's, and asked me to customize them for her. My cousinish also laminated the card stock after printing and filled the boxes with color coordinating goodies.
Until I get myself organized and open an online store, I will customize and send you printable files of lotus boxes for the low price of a hazelnut latte!

animal themed tea party...

i threw a baby shower this weekend. i volunteered mostly because i wanted to decorate. there was a preview posted earlier. i didn't take very good pictures of my work, but here are some shots of the final set up.my friend, christine, recommended Coffee Bean Tempting Teas and they were delicious.
those are little sandwiches: cucumber & cream cheese, turkey & strawberry jam, ham & provolone, and salmon salad. of course we had a huge martini glass full of chocolate.
i made signs for all the sandwiches, for the teas (above) and for the strawberry cupcakes and sweet orange rolls. the banner had animals to go with each letter all in matching patterns. i also made animal stickers for the girls to wear as name tags. thank goodness it was a nice day out. this was fun to put together.
